Flyktingar Lund is a project from the non-profit organization S:t Thomas Samarit that is located in Lund, Skåne. The goal of the project is to contribute to the inclusion of refugees and other immigrants in the Swedish society. Our volunteers are a very varied group of people with the same goal of helping newcomers to develop their capacities and potentialities when starting their new life or settling down in the South of Sweden.
Our activities facilitate that asylum-seekers and refugees:
meet local people and increase their social connections;
improve their language skills and acquire practical skills;
develop their potentialities, leadership and involvement in society;
increase their knowledge regarding circular economy;
get knowledge regarding different jobs in Sweden; and
familiarize themselves with socio-cultural aspects of the Swedish society
Since October 2019, our activities are based at “S:t Thomas Samarit kunskapscentrum” located at Sölvegatan 29 d, 22362 Lund (LTH campus).
Flyktingar Lund has been recognized as one of the 100 social innovations in Skåne!!
